What We Do.

Design Thinking workshops and trainings are central to the iCenter's mission of inspiring the inner innovator in everyone. The iCenter teaches Intuit's version of design thinking, Design for Delight (D4D), through hands-on workshops and trainings that allow participants to learn and apply deep customer empathy, go broad to go narrow, and rapid experiments. The iCenter has spread D4D to more than 500 individuals across the state and region through hands-on workshops and trainings that range from one hour to multiple days.

Most recently, the iCenter has engaged with various Marshall University departments, staff, and faculty to expose them to D4D and its applicability with their disciplines. Marshall's Athletics Department has innovated for the in-game experience during home basketball games. Dining Services has innovated for its meal plan structures, and the John Marshall Leadership Fellows have applied D4D to solve challenges that simultaneously impact both Marshall and the community.
