L. Kevin Levine, JD, MBA

L. Kevin Levine, a native of Huntington, West Virginia, is the founding member of L. Kevin Levine, PLLC in Nashville, Tennessee; an adjunct instructor in the Marshall University Lewis College of Business; and a member of the Board of Advisors for the iCenter. Kevin engages in a practice concentrated in entertainment, copyright, trademark, and business law. He has represented diverse clients both in and outside the “limelight,” including musical artists, songwriters, producers, record labels, music publishers, filmmakers, visual artists, literary authors, personal managers, business managers, and other individuals and businesses in a variety of industries. Kevin graduated magna cum laude with a BBA degree in Marketing from Marshall University in 1993 and also received his MBA degree from Marshall University in 1996. Before law school, Kevin was a member of the West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio business communities. He then attended the West Virginia University College of Law, from which he received his JD degree in May of 2002. Kevin also holds a Specialist Certificate in Music Business from the Berklee College of Music extension school. Kevin is admitted to practice law in Tennessee and West Virginia state courts and in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee and the Southern and Northern Districts of West Virginia. Kevin is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and its Entertainment and Sports Law Section and the West Virginia State Bar and its Committee on Intellectual Property. Before founding L. Kevin Levine, PLLC, Kevin was a member of DeSalvo & Levine PLLC in Nashville, and previously practiced with Kay Casto & Chaney PLLC in Charleston, West Virginia, where he chaired the firm’s entertainment practice group. Before law school, Kevin served as Director of Sales and Marketing for The Pied Piper, Inc., a musical instrument and audio-video retailer founded by Kevin’s father and uncle, which in 1991, Music Trades magazine ranked the third largest full-line music retailer in the United States. Kevin has been an active musician (drums and percussion) for many years and is the former Chapter Coordinator of the Charleston, West Virginia Chapter of Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI); an ASCAP-affiliated songwriter; and a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. Kevin enjoys performing music, writing, boating, riding motorcycles, flying fixed-wing aircraft, and most importantly, spending time with his family.
